Application Process

  1. Download Brief, Application Form & Submission Template.
  2. Tell as many colleagues as possible.
  3. Get designing.
  4. Complete application and check that all requirements have been met.
  5. Post or deliver your application by 10 June 2008.
  6. On 18 June 2008, ten short-listed designers will be notified of their success.
  7. If you are one of the ten, you will be invited to visit the Tent London offices to talk through how you plan to realise your design safely, in time and on budget.
  8. The winner will be announced on the 2 July 2008.
  9. The winner begins assembly on site from 15 September 2008.
  10. Winner will prepare for public appearance at Tent London from the 18-21 September 2008 during the London Design Festival.

Submission Requirements


There are three components to the Submission:
  1. The Scenario - Write a short scenario that responds to the brief. Max 200 words.
  2. The Design - Design a physical installation (6m L x 5m W x 4m H) which demonstrates your solution to your scenario. This should take the form of 2 x A2 boards.
  3. The Installation - Show us how the structure would be assembled in 48 hours and disassembled & packaged in 24 hours. This should take the form of 2 x A2 boards.
Each board must be presented using the Submission Template and mounted on A2 foam board. Any submissions not presented as requested will not be put forward to the judging panel. All of the above, including the application form, must be contained in a single package for delivery to Tent London offices.
